Sherry Lynn Campbell is a wife, mother and dreamer. Imagine by John Lennon and Sing by the Carpenters are her longest held favorite songs.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Languages and a Master in Education with a speciality in Montessori Theory and Practices. Her favorite school subject after twenty plus years of teaching in early childhood and elementary school settings is Music Circle and Story-time.
In 2012, she retired from active teaching, and began following her own “inner child” to pursue her life long dream of being a published author. In 2015, her dream started to take form with the publishing of her first book M is for Mother. It all started from a song she wrote for the children of a local Montessori School program to sing for their mothers at their Mother’s Day program. In 2018, F is for Father followed. And again, another new song brought forth her most current children’s book, The Five Little Snow Kids in 2022.
Bolstered by this success, she never lost sight of writing a novel. All the writing she had done throughout her life, the stories that had been written still called to be read by a wider audience than just herself…and The Storyteller’s Quilt began to take form, with Beginnings Are Boundless leading the way.
And then, the magic started happening…at least, that’s how she describes it in her episode of Power of Storytelling podcast on Empowering Women, Transforming Lives with Rebecca Hall Gruyter: “Once this book started, it was like the magic just kept unfolding.” After meeting Forbes, the rest of the characters showed up and “joined the party.”
The Storyteller’s Quilt: Beginnings Are Boundless, is the first in a trilogy. Book Two started to write itself as Book One finished. These characters, like the author, are in expansion and growth mode. The author would love to tell you she knows exactly where it’s all headed, but in her case, she’s following where Greer and Forbes are leading her.
She’s hoping you’re intrigued, and eager to come along on the journey!
